2. What
makes ProMounds’ products the most durable and lightweight models on

Our pitching mounds are made
with high density foam coated with durable rubber armor. The surface is
spike-resistant turf that allows for cleat usage. Each mound comes with
a caddy that allows the mound to be moved by one person.
All mounds and platforms also
have built-in handles.
All softball mats are
lightweight (25 lbs) and skid-proof.
3. Can
cleats be used on the mounds, platforms, and softball mats?
Yes, but remember, there is
no such thing as spike-"proof" turf. ProMounds recommends wearing
sneakers to maximize product lifetime.
4. Can the
mounds, platforms, and softball mats be used outside?
Yes, these products are
weatherproof. In addition, the pitching mounds can be used as bullpen
mounds.
5. What
type of turf is used on the pitching mounds and softball mats?
A 36 ounce polypropylene
monofilament piece of artificial turf is used on the pitching mounds.
(The foam is 5 millimeters thick.)
A 50 ounce nylon artificial
turf is used for the softball mat.
6. Will
the pitching mound damage the floor?
No, the pitching mounds are
made with a durable rubber coating that is skid-proof and will not
damage floors.
7. Is any
assembly required?
Most ProMounds products are
one piece and long-lasting.
The pitching platforms have a
simple wheel assembly to be mounted.
8. How
long will ProMounds’ products take to ship?
ProMounds take approximately
1-2 weeks to ship. (The mounds without turf take an additional 2-3
weeks to ship.)
